Coulson turns 5!!

Coulson Now and Then!
It has been an exciting week at our house. The anticipation has been high as we have counted down the days until Saturday - Coulson's birthday. The conversations have been something like this:

Coulson: Mom, what day is it today?
Me:Tuesday.
C: What comes after Tuesday - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I can't wait!!
On Wednesday, same thing:
C: Mom, What day is it again?
Me: Wednesday, How many days until Saturday?
He was so excited to be turning 5.
The day finally arrived and he was pretty happy with all of the presents, and all of the company and fun. Candle in the pancake for breakfast - which Tyler was so excited he "spit" blew it out before Coulson could take a breath. But after a relighting session he was off again. He got to play WII with his brother and sisters and Dad, trying out his new game, then go to town to pick out the bee pinata for his party. He opened presents at Grandma Great's and got his big new floating pirate ship from Grandma Bectell and Grandma Sandy.
There was the party with cousins, more presents from them and Grandma and Grandpa and Great Grandma and Grandpa. Even a visit from a baby rabbit that his cousins Tyson, Hannah and Clay brought.

At bedtime, we were walking to his room and he said.
"Mom, I don't feel 5."
ME: What's 5 supposed to feel like?
C: I don't know!

So, I suggested we have a high 5, a low 5, a side 5, a bump it, birthday spankings, spelling words. Nothing was working. I think it's a classic case of Kindergarten envy! When we turn 5 we go to school. September is a long ways away. I guess he'll have to learn the same lesson as when he was 4, there is a lot of waiting to be done, and growing up is a process! We love you Coulson, you are a ray of rambunctious sunshine in our lives!
